No glimmer of hope shines through the dense mist, Just sadness that my soul cannot resist. The letters form, a silent angry fist, A poem of despair, a mournful wail, My pain and grief on paper firmly kissed, As all my dreams and wishes start to pale. No solace found in verses I create, Just emptiness and sorrow, sealed by fate. So here I am, alone and desolate, In the aftermath of love’s cruel end, No rescue from this tortured mental state, No comfort from the pain that will not bend. I write my final lines, a bitter blow, As thoughts unravelled, leave me here below.
