Suffering in Christ

Brothers and sisters, hear the words of our Savior, Yehoshua. He warned us, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” He set the example, showing us that through suffering, there is victory. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?” Chorus: Embrace the pain, endure the trial, In suffering, we find our smile. For in this path, we gain our might, Through every dark, we see His light. Let us humble ourselves under the powerful hand of Yahowah Elohim, for in due time, He will exalt us. Cast all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you. Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent, the devil, walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being accomplished by your brotherhood in the world. And the Elohim of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Messiah Yehoshua, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the power forever and ever! Through Yehoshua, we can approach Elohim and stand in His favor. We boast in our confidence that we will receive glory from Elohim. But that’s not all. We also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces confidence. We’re not ashamed of this confidence because Elohim’s love has been poured into our hearts by the ruach hakodesh, who has been given to us.
