Scorning excess

(Verse 1) Yeah, let's reason 'bout excess, yeah, it's a snare, Proverbs 15:27, greed brings ruin, beware, Not just 'bout money, but pleasures too, you see, Being greedy with joy, leads to negativity. 1 Corinthians 6:12, say I can do anything, they say, But not all things are helpful, gotta find the right way, Won't be enslaved by anything, gotta keep control, Balance is key, that's how I'll reach my goal. (Chorus) Scorning excess, that's the way to live, Too much of a good thing, it'll make you sick, Wisdom tells me, keep it all in check, Moderation is key, that's what I'll reflect. (Verse 2) Ecclesiastes 7:16, don't be overly righteous or wise, Extremes will destroy you, that's no surprise, Don't be overly wicked, don't be a fool, Live in balance, that's the golden rule. Proverbs 25:16, if you find honey, just take what you need, Don't indulge too much, or you'll surely heed, The warning, of excess, it'll make you fall, Take only what's necessary, that's wisdom's call.
