The Bard's Ballad

[Ambient fire crackling] [Verse1] In a tavern so merry and grand (Hey!) Sat a bard with drink in his hand (Whoa!) He sang of lore Of battles and more And danced with the best in the land Hey! [Verse 2] He sang tales of old Of treasures and gold And drank to the nights of wine Hey! [Verse 3] Every lass and lad They cheer With each note They hold so dear (Whoa!) He sang of the skies Of love in disguise And laughter that filled the air Hey! With a wink and a cheer, he would say, "Let's drink 'til the break of the day!" The patrons all roared, And asked for an encore, As the bard strummed his lute in a sway. [Speed slows down] But when the sun's rays did creep, He nodded and fell fast asleep, They carried him out, With a jovial shout, And laid him to bed in a heap. (Hey!) [Cheering]
