(Instrumental) (verse 2) Add to it, if you like, as a kind of surplus, Moonlight, whose scent plays the violin, From the string of hope, silver whiskers, And weave them into a flaming braid, like strands of rain. (verse 3) Consider despair as dream foam, Let the sun cover the dark night, Let the eye of your rose be the vast sky, From which a meteor extinguishes the sea. (verse 4) And if all this is not enough: lying on a fur, Glimpse at the girl slyly; Play the flute with a mischievous mouth, And let Apollo anoint your locks... And now this too?
