Down by the river

Woke up this morning with the sunshine on my face, Gonna grab my hat and head to my favorite place. Got my ol’ tackle box, my rod, and reel, It’s a perfect day, can’t wait to feel that thrill. Down by the river, where the water’s runnin’ free, Catchin’ fish and livin’ wild, just my dog and me. Life’s so simple, worries driftin’ far away, Down by the river, we’re just fishin’ through the day. The water's cool and the breeze is sweet, With the sound of nature playin' at our feet. Skippin’ stones and watchin’ the ripples spread, Feelin' good with every word unsaid. Down by the river, where the water’s runnin’ free, Catchin’ fish and livin’ wild, just my dog and me. As the sun sets low and the night birds call, We pack up our gear, but we’ll be back, y’all. For there’s a special kind of magic that I’ve found, Down by the river, that’s where my heart is bound.
