In aisles of gleam, where treasures lie, A shopper's gaze meets each supply. In glittered aisles, desires bloom, Yet deeper shadows cast their gloom. For what is bought, with gold or woe, But fleeting joy, a transient show? In gilded mirrors, reflections fade, As souls are lost in this charade.
