The Haircut

"Don't cut my hair!" screamed Benjamin. "You might cut off my ear!" "Don't cut my hair!" yelled Benjamin. "Those scissors are too near!" His father tried to cut his hair. His mother had a go. But Benjamin just kicked and screamed, And shouted, "No. No. NO!" His hair kept growing longer, Until it touched the floor. He wouldn't let them cut it off, And so it grew some more... It dragged along behind his back, And straggled in the dirt. A Snoozle came and sat on it... It didn't even hurt! A Twoozle tumbled from a tree, And landed on the hair. A Floozle who was following, Flapped up and joined him there. A Droozle hiding in the hedge, Dropped down to have a ride. And two fat Hoozles hurried up, And slipped on, side by side. Then Benny turned and saw them, Fell over with a 'THUD!' The Snoozle turned a somersault, And landed in the mud. The Floozle opened wide her fangs, And bit the Twoozle's tail. The Droozle trod on Hoozle's legs, And ALL began to WAIL! Then Ben picked up his hair and ran, As fast as he knew how. "Oh Mum," he yelled, "Please cut my hair. Please cut my hair, RIGHT NOW!"
