Raindrops at the Beach

I pack my towel and sunscreen Head out to the sandy scene The waves are crashing, seagulls screaming But dark clouds are gathering Every time I go to the beach The rain starts pouring down The sun disappears from view Dark skies all around I sit beneath my umbrella Waiting for the storm to settle The rain keeps falling, no end in sight I shiver in the cold night Every time I go to the beach The rain starts pouring down The sun disappears from view Dark skies all around I head back home, defeated Soaked to the bone, cheated By the fickle weather No beach day together I walk inside, strip off my clothes Take a hot shower, my body glows I look outside, the clouds are gone Bright sun shining, day is reborn Every time I go to the beach The rain starts pouring down But when I'm back home again The sun shines all around I'll try again another day Pray the rain stays far away One day I'll catch the sun's warm rays At the beach, in summer days
