Lyrics

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked? She sells sea-shells on the sea-shore; The shells that she sells are sea-shells I’m sure. So if she sells sea-shells on the sea-shore, I’m sure that the shells are sea-shore shells. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? He would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood! Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t fuzzy, was he? Betty Botter bought some butter; But, she said, the butter’s bitter; If I put it in my batter, It will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter, That would make my batter better. Peter packed the peppers in a padded pouch, Peppers packed in pouches push no purchase power. So Peter peddled peppers at the public plaza, Peddling plenty, proving Peter’s peppers’ prowess. Sally’s sea-shells sell so well, Seashore sounds swell the shell sales. Soon Sally sees she should sell more, So she scoops scores more shells from the seashore’s store. If the woodchuck stood with another woodchuck, Would chucking wood mean as much as it could? Together, they’d chuck twice the wood of the woods, As much as two woodchucks would chuck if they could! Though Fuzzy was a bear quite bare, Wherever Fuzzy went, they’d stare. So Fuzzy got some fuzzy wear, Now Fuzzy’s fuzzy, fair and square! Betty bought a bit of butter, Better than her bitter butter, And she put it in her batter, And her batter was not bitter. So ’twas better Betty Botter Bought a bit of better butter. [Interlude] [Outro] Peter packed the peppers in a bag so big, While Sally’s seashells shined shimmering and slick. Betty’s batter’s better; it’s no longer thick. Woodchucks worked, chucking wood into the creek, Fuzzy found a wig, now he’s not so bleak! Peter’s peppers pop at the fair, the pride of the town, Sally’s seashells sparkle, earning her a crown. Woodchuck’s work wows, his fame now renown, Fuzzy’s now fuzzy, and Betty’s butter best around.
