Real monsters

In the glow of the aurora, monsters huddle tight, Telling tales of humans, in the dead of night. "Once there were creatures, who walked in the day, With no scales or fangs, they'd work, rest, and play. They built massive structures, reaching for the sky, Crafted tools and gadgets, always asking 'why?' They'd dance and they'd sing, without a single care, Unaware that we watched, from our hidden lair. But beware, my dear monsters, for the story turns grim, These humans could be scary, beyond life and limb. They'd argue and fight, over land and over gold, And in their quest for power, they grew ruthless and bold. So let's stick together, in our monsterly crew, For we have each other, and that will get us through. And as the humans' tales, make our little ones squirm, We'll laugh and we'll roar, 'cause it's now our turn!"
