[Spoken] We learn of Pythagoras and his sacred right angles, Geometry’s dance, where lines entangle. But when life demands we understand taxes, Geometry fails, it retreats, it relaxes. [Spoken] Chemistry class, where elements bond, But taxes and leases, they do not correspond. Formulas and reactions, they fill up our heads, But balancing budgets is a skill that’s dead. [Spoken] We study Shakespeare, his words timeless and true, Yet no one teaches how to navigate through Mortgages, healthcare, and retirement plans, Real-world issues not covered in lesson plans. [Spoken] High school teaches us to dissect a frog, Yet ignores the fog of a job market slog. We memorize dates, battles, and kings, But forget to teach the financial swings. [Spoken] Credit scores, interest rates, how to invest These are the lessons that go unaddressed. We know mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, But financial literacy? It’s a personal hell. [Spoken] They tell us to dream, to reach for the stars, But never explain interest rates on our cars. We study the cosmos, the grand, vast unknown, Yet leave us clueless about a mortgage loan. [Spoken] So here’s to the lessons left out of the book, The practical knowledge from which they forsook. We need a curriculum that’s real and precise, Teaching us how to navigate life’s intricate ice. [Spoken] High school, it’s time to evolve and expand, Prepare us for life, with lessons so grand. Equip us with knowledge that truly empowers, So we’re not lost in the world’s daunting towers. [Spoken] For it’s not just about passing a test, But preparing us all to be our very best. Life skills, finances, the art of the deal, These are the lessons that truly appeal.
