Familiar Diary: Entry 3

Dear Diary, I went out into the village today to buy myself some food. Master gives me an allowance from the money he has been collecting over the centuries. I overheard people talking about a goblin attack? I thought goblins were just fairytales. But then again, a fishman looks at me through the window while I’m dusting so I guess… Really anything could exist. Master talked about some sort of theater show happening tonight, starting around 8pm. I wish I could go, but he said I would probably be turned into lunch if I went. So it's probably a vampire thing. He said there's going to be an undead choir performing amongst other things. I hope he has fun. While I was taking a small break from my duties I saw a line of caravans going down the road by the house. There usually aren't many travelers around here, unless those were the attendees of the theater master had talked about. I couldn't see the inside of any of the wagons, they were completely covered up. Each one was led by two black horses with red eyes, and atop at the reigns were what looked like men, covered head to toe in black attire, with black capotain hats. Their eyes seemed to have a very faint glow about them, and the only visible skin was around the eyes, as they wore various black masks. It was a very peculiar sight to behold. Something else that was strange about it, there was a very thick fog that followed them as they passed, so thick you could choke on the very air itself… the theater must be local if they had to pass by the house. Good on master for picking such a culturally rich place to live!
