OLD AGE ADVICE

Do always try to act your age Don't often fly into a rage In loved ones it may instill fear And keep away the near and dear Don't glorify the past too much And all the things you've done as such It only makes people resent As it is not of the present Let wisdom whisper not control Unless asked to play such a role Know-how gained in the distant past May be advised but only if asked Of aging's ills don't make a fuss, It dims the fire, and makes you cuss It adds some burdens to your load, But friends won't flee you down the road. With wrinkles etched and hair turned white, Embrace the years, hold onto light. Though passion's flame may gently wane, Friendship's warmth won't ebb or drain. Be well dressed and also be neat The old age should not have you beat Take care of your physical health It will improve your mental health
