Dunes

through the sands of time they crawl across the desert, never complacent to rest in one place (rest in one place) the dunes move with the storm (move with the storm), as it shapes the landscape, swallowing everything in its path. if you happen to be caught in a sandstorm, do your best to take cover, for the sand is sharp, and flying fast, no end in sight, no depth beyond your eyes, it blinds. Along with the fates, the sands count the time, as it passes across the desert, our reality unwinds, as we hallucinate the oasis to find a better place that exists within the barren landscape walking through the desert is burdensome and tiresome, the heat wears you down until you can no longer carry on, and that's when they come, to scoop you up, never to be heard from again.
