Earth is a Dying Place

[Intro] What's left of this Earth It would seem man has evolved past flesh The few of us that remain Have placed our organs into cages To prolong our longevity I am told that Earth is quite different than when I was organic Most of life is gone The planet unable to sustain [Verse] In order to survive We turned to machines But still resources are limited Most are soulless animations [Verse 2] Automatons charged with maintainence And the creation of drones And sometimes I wonder if I am the same Just a drone [Bridge] A pawn in this war game Though the planet is dying It seems we have held onto the remnants of humanity In the form of war We are still slaves We have machines creating machines Simply for the sake of destroying more machines And if this seems as hopelessly pointless as it sounds It wouldn't show amongst those in my crowd [Verse 3] I wonder if they are like me Playing out the fantasies of the times before Inside their fleshy brains Or if war just remains to be in our DNA [Outro] I feel so lonely But can a machine feel anything
