It's like an emptiness I can't explain A void that cannot be filled It's like the days grow short as you pass on by While the time just never stands still It's like an empty thought without the words A memory stuck in your head It's like the only time you see the light Is when you are asleep in bed It's like the pain is hidden beneath the wounds As life just passes on by It's like the only time you remember the pain Is when you begin to cry It's like a journey filled with hidden valleys And mountains beyond belief For once I realize there is more than just that My heart will sigh in relief
