Wolves bayed nearer, the snow fell light, he explored the palm, work-hardened, with callouses and shapely nails, wind moaned through the branches, a page fluttered, like a snowy feather. [Chorus] Time has fallen asleep, in the afternoon sunshine. The gods destroy those they see, but small and unseen, you escape, in the press of bodies, unnoticed, free. [Verse 2] Books bombarded, lit like pigeons, in the dim light, words painted, wings fluttering, delicate on the page.
