She's Gone

She said she was leaving Well I've heard that before. You know it shook the whole house when she slammed that front door. She turned and yelled I'm leaving' I won't be coming Home. I'm sitting here grinnin’. Because that woman’s gone, Yes She's gone. Her closet is as empty as those wedding vows she said. I thought we weren't supposed to part ‘til one of us was dead. Now I don't think she left me because I was unkind, but I'm not going to ask her why that Just might change her mind. When she said she was leaving I thought that she would change her mind But I think she’s really gone she took her cat this time. She said I never listened, she said I did not care. She said a lot of other stuff that I really did not hear. Now some folks may ask me, if I know where she’s at. No I don’t but I ‘m sure glad She took that stupid Cat. Now You know they will ask me, Son what ‘cha gonna do? I’ll’ just grin and tell them, any damn thing I want to. BECAUSE SHE’S GONE!! Yes she’s gone!
