Lyrics

[Male 1]: "So, Mr. Hamster, tell us about your life in the wheel. It must be quite exciting, running all day!" [Male 2]: "Exciting? You think my life is exciting? Let me tell you, it's anything but. Sure, everyone thinks I'm adorable, running endlessly on that wheel. But let me set the record straight. It's not fun. It's exhausting. I feel like I'm stuck in a never-ending cycle of monotony." [Male 1]: "But don't you enjoy the exercise?" [Male 2]: "Exercise? Ha! More like torture. I'm dizzy half the time, and my little hamster heart feels like it's going to burst. Plus, have you ever tried running in circles for hours on end? It's mind-numbingly boring." (Chorus) Round and round in the wheel we go, Life's a cage, but they'll never know. Tiny heart, but a world of woes, Just a hamster in the undertow. [Male 1]: "I see. What about your diet? I hear hamsters love their food." [Male 2]: "Oh, don't get me started on the food. Sure, it's tasty at first, but eating the same pellets day in and day out gets old real quick. And don't even get me started on the sunflower seeds. Have you ever tried cramming one of those things into your cheek pouches? It's a choking hazard waiting to happen." [Male 1]: "I had no idea it was so tough being a hamster. Is there anything else you'd like to share?" [Male 2]: "Well, there's the whole sleeping situation. Everyone thinks we love our cozy little nests, but let me tell you, trying to get comfortable with wood shavings poking into your fur is no picnic. And don't even get me started on the constant squeaking from the exercise wheel at night. It's enough to drive any hamster mad." (Chorus) Round and round in the wheel we go, Life's a cage, but they'll never know. Tiny heart, but a world of woes, Just a hamster in the undertow. [Male 1]: "Thank you for sharing your perspective, Mr. Hamster. It sounds like you have quite a lot on your tiny shoulders." [Male 2]: "You have no idea. But hey, at least I get to complain about it, right?" [Male 1]: "Mr. Hamster, you've given us a lot to think about. Can you tell us, what do you do for fun when you're not running in your wheel?" [Male 2]: "Fun? Well, I try to explore my cage, but there's not much room for adventure. Sometimes I like to gnaw on the bars just to feel something different. Oh, and I'm a big fan of napping. It's the highlight of my day." (Chorus) Round and round in the wheel we go, Life's a cage, but they'll never know. Tiny heart, but a world of woes, Just a hamster in the undertow. [Male 1]: "Interesting. And what about your relationships with other hamsters? Do you have any friends in the cage?" [Male 2]: "Friends? Not really. We all kind of keep to ourselves. I mean, we'll chat through the bars occasionally, but it's not like we're planning any grand escapades together." [Male 1]: "I see. How about toys? Do you have any toys to play with?" [Male 2]: "Toys? Oh, you mean those plastic wheels and colorful balls? Yeah, they're fine, I guess. But they don't hold a candle to the thrill of exploring the great outdoors. Not that I would know anything about that." (Chorus) Round and round in the wheel we go, Life's a cage, but they'll never know. Tiny heart, but a world of woes, Just a hamster in the undertow. [Male 1] "Right. And what about the humans who take care of you? How do you feel about them?" [Male 2]: "Oh, the humans. They mean well, I suppose. But sometimes I wish they'd just leave me alone. Constantly poking and prodding, trying to pick me up and cuddle me. Can't a hamster get a moment of peace around here?" [Male 1] "Understandable. Now, Mr. Hamster, do you ever dream of escaping from your cage and exploring the wide world beyond?" [Male 2]: "Every day, my friend. Every day." (Chorus) Round and round in the wheel we go, Life's a cage, but they'll never know. Tiny heart, but a world of woes, Just a hamster in the undertow. [Male 1]: "Fascinating. Well, Mr. Hamster, it's been enlightening talking to you. Do you have any final thoughts you'd like to share?" [Male 2]: "Just remember, folks, appearances can be deceiving. So the next time you see a hamster running in its wheel, remember that there's a lot more going on beneath the surface. Well, c'est la vie." (Outro) So next time you see a hamster's wheel, Remember there's more than what's revealed. Behind those tiny eyes, a world untold, In the silent depths of a cage, behold. Life's a wheel, a constant spin, But beneath the surface, lies within. Round and round, we all must go, In the cycle of life's ebb and flow. Well, c'est la vie. [End]
