Avalon is a game of hidden loyalty. You are either Loyal Servants of Arthur fighting for Goodness and honor or aligned with the Evil ways of Mordred. Hidden among Arthur’s brave warriors are Mordred’s unscrupulous minions. The forces of Evil are few in number but have knowledge of each other. Merlin alone knows the agents of Evil but he must speak of this only in riddles. If Merlin’s true identity is discovered all will be lost.
Deal one card to each player face down. Most cards assign loyalty to the Good, and one of those cards will be the Merlin card. Some cards assign loyalty to the Evil, and one of those cards will be the Assassin card.
After all the players know their loyalty, we must ensure that all the Evil know each other and that Merlin knows all the Evil! And so… And so… And so… Get ready!
