Lyrics
[Intro]
[In ancient days of yore, amidst forgotten realms, a bard begins to sing of a hero and his loyal companion.]
[Verse 1]
In ancient days of yore, amidst forgotten realms,
A hero walked with shadowed heart, Artoreeas the brave,
With a blade both broken and mighty, he ventured through the night,
In service of great Gwyn, yet bound by fate's cruel plight.
[Verse 2]
From Lordran’s lofty halls he came, where fires flickered low,
A knight of highest order, in darkness he did go,
To where the Abyss whispered, and shadows claimed the light,
Artoreeas, undaunted, ventured forth to fight.
[Bridge]
Through forests dense and ancient groves, where spirits roamed the glen,
He found a loyal friend in Sif, a wolf of moonlit blend,
With fur as bright as starlight, and eyes that gleamed with truth,
Sif stood by his master's side, in battles fierce, aloof.
[Verse 3]
Together they descended, to caverns deep and stark,
To Oolaceele, the kingdom lost, consumed by shadows dark,
Mankind twisted, hope forlorn, in the Abyss's cruel embrace,
Yet Artoreeas, with will unbent, pressed on with dauntless grace.
[Verse 4]
In the blackened depths they fought, their souls in battle twined,
Artoreeas, with his shattered blade, a beacon against the night,
And Sif, with fangs and claws, a storm of silver might,
Yet the Abyss, insidious, crept into the hero’s mind.
[Bridge]
And in the darkest chasm, where the shadows writhe and grow,
Artoreeas met Manus, the Father of the Abyss below,
A titan of malevolence, with eyes of endless night,
They clashed with earth-shaking force, in a fearsome, fateful fight.
[Verse 5]
With each blow, the darkness swelled, the Abyss did rise and seethe,
Artoreeas fought valiantly, with strength you can’t conceive,
Yet Manus’s power was vast, a storm of endless hate,
The hero fell, yet stood again, to face his dire fate.
[Bridge]
To shield his faithful wolf, to guard the future’s light,
Artoreeas, with a final breath, did forge a bond of might,
A circle pure, a vow unbroke, of sacrifice and love,
To keep the darkness at bay, and protect his friend above.
[Verse 6]
There in the shadows fell he, to the Abyss’s endless maw,
Yet his spirit shone undimmed, a legend free from flaw,
And Sif, alone, kept vigil, guarding the sacred ring,
By Artoreeas's silent grave, where memories softly sing.
[Outro]
Years turned and seasons passed, the world around did change,
But Sif remained, a guardian fierce, by her master’s grave,
A sentinel of loyalty, through the ages she would stay,
Watching o’er the knight she loved, till the end of days.
[End]
[The bard’s song fades into the quiet of the night, the tale of Artoreeas and Sif echoing in the hearts of those who hear.]
