Feast of Plagues

The table set for the perverse Invoke the curse, they all rehearse Their hunger seething underneath (beneath) Devour the flesh, ignore the wreath Of sorrow laid upon the land Blind to the touch of fate's cold hand Dined on flesh, their sins engrave (engrave) Beneath a prophet's hollowed gaze At their feast of dark desires Plague spreads its cloak, the world's on fire Born through sin and draped in woe (in woe) They face the consequence alone The prophet's flesh, it weeps, it bleeds (it bleeds) While sinners dine with ghastly greed Their souls are tarnished, chained in rust In twisted honor, misplaced trust The chalice raised, a wicked toast (a toast) To the darkened heart, the sinful host The heavens crack, the silence tears (it tears) As thunder roars, the end it nears Their laughter fades to wretched cries (to cries) As plagues descend from vengeful skies The prophet's eyes, once filled with grace Now stare in voids of empty space
