Grandma's Poem

In precious dreams of memory I think of times when I would sit on Grandma Rathburn's knee and in contentment sigh. For Grandma's time was special time that she reserved for me, or so it seemed to eyes quite young that saw her with such glee! For me her cookie jar was full; the candy jar the same. Her cooking was the best around for little boys to claim. I saw in her a youthful girl who still came out to play. She saw in me the future man who'd change the world one day. Her garden was a fairy land where time could not get in, and neither could the neighbor's cat when Grandpa's hose would win. In memory her home still stands in hearts of little boys forever will it linger there the greatest of their joys. [Outro] [End]
