Forever to Abide

IVerse 1 Christ Jesus, the true vine, divine and pure, Father the gardener, His touch ensures, That every branch in Him will find, Life and love, forever intertwined. Verse 2 Every branch that bears not, He takes away, And those that flourish, He prunes to stay. By His hand, we're shaped and formed, In His mercy, we're reborn. Chorus Abide in Him, and He in you, Apart from Christ, there's nothing we can do. Connected, nourished, in His love we stand, Bear much fruit, by His command. Verse 3 Cast aside like branches, withered and frail, Those who forsake Him, in darkness they flail. Gathered and tossed in the consuming fire’s glow, Cling to Christ, and in His righteousness flow. Verse 4 Ask in His name, with His words in your heart, He promises us, He will do His part. In this union, our joy complete, Walking in His ways, in love replete. Bridge As the Father has loved the Son from above, So Christ loves us, with that same love. In His commandments, if we abide, His joy in us, forever will reside.
