Find Myself

City neon lights aglow, Mist and rock with sunset's glow, In this restless time and age, I feel like I'm on a separate page. Village bridges, waters flow, Street lamps, fields in night's soft glow, Crickets, frogs in the pond sing, Reflecting my restless wandering. Through city streets, I roam around, To the world's edge, where hope is found, Seen the dim markets, walked silent graves, But can't find the self that the past once saved, Maybe that self is gone for good, Maybe that self can't be understood. Highways, hills, and rugged lands, Deserts, dry grass, starry spans, This boring earth beneath my feet, Carries a heart that won't retreat. Home, forests, nature's call, Green grass, dew drops, morning's thrall, A moss-covered cabin stands alone, Calling a restless soul back home. This might not be my destined place, This might not hold my past's embrace, This might not be where life began, This won't be where my journey ends, Here and now, I start again.
