The Rabbit, The Mouse and The Sparrow

[Verse 1] There was once a band of three: Rabbit, Sparrow, Mouse, you see Come together by distain Of a fox who'd wished them slain. [Verse 2] Said the mouse, "come sit together, We are all of a feather And with the minds of our clan, Let us ponder up a plan!" [Verse 3] Said the rabbit, "what's the use? We'll never rid us of abuse! He's much bigger than us three Though perhaps not fast as me." [Verse 4] Said the sparrow, "That's well said, If we try, we'd be surely dead. That great fox is much too sly, Though unlike me he cannot fly." [Verse 5] And the mouse gave a cheerful smile "If you would give me just a while I'll have us a scheme to play To ever drive that fox away!" [Verse 1] So when the fox came round to chase, They had everything in place. Rabbit ran round the fox so quick That following had made him sick! [Verse 2] And the sparrow soared up high And plucked his hairs from in the sky. Then the mouse, albeit small, Bound his feet so he would fall! [Verse 3] After that and from then on, That big vexing fox was gone. And the three once so wary, Lived evermore so merry.
