Strength In Adversity

Bring me the horizons of misfortune and disorder. The chaos of confusion bridges the gap between reality and fiction. As things seem illogical when faced with extreme turmoil, our actions defining whether we’re a savior or the saved. Fight or flight, right or wrong, these are the decisions we are faced with. (Faced with) Is there a right choice in any situation, what is acceptable and what is irredeemable? The absurdity of the question compounded by what’s socially acceptable, rewarding those that rise above and beyond all the capable. Trials of the mind and body show what a persons worth in life is, as the meek and the cowardly are preyed upon by the stronger and malicious, but the few that are chosen that have the power to invoke change are waylaid on the sidelines by the institutions that they uphold. Bravery is worshipped and revered but ultimately shutdown as the incompetent and unjust figureheads fight to beat everybody down, to subjugate the masses and keep them all in line, but the brave few rise up to challenge them every time.
