Infinite

I gaze into the sky, its boundless span, Where time and space in endless measure blend, My soul, a wanderer, seeks to understand, The mysteries that mortal minds transcend. The hills, the woods, they whisper ancient lore, Of timeless truths that mortal hearts explore, Yet, lost in thought, I seek forevermore, A grasp of truths that lie beyond this shore. In this vast expanse, my thoughts are drowned, A sweet surrender, in this boundless sea, To drift and sink where depths profound are found, Infinite, yet sweet, this reverie. Thus, in this ocean of eternity, I find sweet solace, though I cannot see, For in this vastness, my thoughts set free, Noble is the shipwreck of my mind's decree.
