Cruisin' down the highway, sun sinkin' low Palm trees swayin', breeze blowin' slow Headlights hit a sign, says "Hotel California" Looks inviting, pull up in my Impala Stepped inside, place was lit, golden statues in the hall Band was playin', faces familiar, knew none of them at all Walked up to the desk, dude said, "Welcome to the H-C Such a lovely place, plenty of space, you can check out any time you like But you can never leave" Woah, hold up, something fishy, ain't diggin' this vibe Tried to bounce, bellhop stepped up, said, "Naw, you gotta reside" Checked my pockets, phone's dead, no signal, I'm trapped This ain't a vacation, it's a rap, gotta find a way out, fast Escaped the lobby, found a window, moonlight shinin' through Tried to climb out, security guard grabbed me, said, "What you tryna do?"
