1 Corinthians 13

Even if I spoke in the tongues of men and of angels, and did not have love, I would be like sounding metal or like a tinkling bell. And even if he had the gift of prophecy, and knew all mysteries and all knowledge, and even if he had all faith, so as to move mountains, and had not love, he would be nothing. And even if I distributed all my wealth to support the poor, and even if I gave my body to be burned, and had no love, none of this would benefit me. Love is suffering, it is benign; love is not envious; love does not treat itself lightly, it is not arrogant. He does not behave immodestly, he does not seek his own interests, he does not get angry, he does not suspect evil; Do not rejoice with injustice, but rejoice with the truth; All things suffer, all things believe, all things hope, all things endure. The love never fails; but if there are prophecies, they will be annihilated; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will disappear; For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; But when that which is perfect comes, then that which is in part will be destroyed. When I was a boy, I spoke like a boy, I felt like a boy, I talked like a boy, but as soon as I became a man, I put an end to boyish things. For now we see through a glass darkly, but then we will see face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know as I am also known. Now, therefore, faith, hope and love remain, these three, but the greatest of these is love.
