Lyrics
🎵 “The Grub’s Lament” 🎵
(Verse 1) In the depths of Hallownest, where shadows creep, A tiny creature stirs, its secrets to keep. The Grub, trapped in glass, its cries unheard, Yearning for freedom, wings yet unfluttered.
(Pre-Chorus) Its high-pitched babble, a plea for release, Echoes through caverns, seeking solace and peace. The Knight draws near, Nail poised to strike, To shatter the jar, let the Grub take flight.
(Chorus) Oh, little Grub, your fate entwined, In hollowed tunnels, where darkness binds. Your glass prison cracks, hope unfurls, As you burrow down, back to the Grubfather’s world.
(Verse 2) Zote, the boastful warrior, once ensnared, His “Life Ender” nail, a name he dared. Shellwood blade, powerless but proud, He danced with danger, his voice unbowed.
(Pre-Chorus) Greenpath’s vines held him, a tangled embrace, Yet the Knight chose mercy, granting him grace. In Dirtmouth’s silence, Zote’s arrogance unfurled, A hero in his mind, a bug of the world.
(Bridge) Deepnest’s webs clung to another Grub’s plight, Saved or abandoned, the Knight’s choice in the night. Zote, twice rescued, spun a web of his own, In the Colosseum’s arena, his destiny sown.
(Chorus) Oh, little Grub, your fate entwined, In hollowed tunnels, where darkness binds. Your glass prison cracks, hope unfurls, As you burrow down, back to the Grubfather’s world.
(Outro) And so the Grubs sing, their tales interweave, Of freedom found, of heroes who believe. In Hallownest’s depths, their voices rise, A symphony of gratitude beneath starlit skies.
