In the dark of night no stars to shine I see a shadow creeping up behind In the silent stillness you appear Like a nightmare I can't seem to clear Every second passes feelings grow I try to hold on shadows flow In my thoughts you never cease Haunting corners heart's release Black shadow follow me where I go Can't escape this figure slow Black shadow fill my nights Always present in all sights In the mirror I see your face Reflections filled with empty space Every whisper calls your name Playing softly like a cruel game Why won't you free my mind Release the chains that bind In the darkness waiting there Black shadow cold despair I run but you close in plain Each step echoing my pain Through the silence in my veins Broken memories remain
