Understand

I can't enjoy what others are. I'm wrapped up in trying to flee, trying to free myself. To find peace that I crave endlessly. I find a snippet of the feeling in a moment. An empty atonement. I feel myself bask in its stillness. A fractured piece which that only I exist. It's something in between. That glistening sheen. A flicker of light guiding me, (blinding thee.) A dwindling hope as the dream plays (the lost haze). It demands I die, yet I'll survive and stay alive.. I twist the belief to pretend I can thrive (a sweet lie echoed from a cry). My pride enables my path, stepping stones ripped in half. I’m too jaded to express my desires, surrounded by liars. Why do my thoughts betray me this way? What else can I say? (What should I say?) Another existence suppressed into submission. Paranoia feeds the suspicion. Woes of time have taken its toll, it’s draining my soul. (I’ll go on for eternity, pushing until I see.
