Psalm 16

Chorus: Keep me safe, O God, my refuge and my shield, To you, Lord, I come, for in you I yield. You are my Master, from you all blessings flow, Every good thing I have, from you I know. Verse 1: The godly ones in the land are my delight, In them, Lord, I find my heroes, shining bright. But those who chase other gods, troubles they will face, No part in their sacrifices, I won’t take their place. Chorus: Keep me safe, O God, my refuge and my shield, To you, Lord, I come, for in you I yield. You are my Master, from you all blessings flow, Every good thing I have, from you I know. Verse 2: Lord, you're my cup, my portion fair and grand, You guard my lot, my inheritance, my land. The land you’ve given, pleasant and so sweet, A wonderful heritage, under my feet. Verse 3: I bless the Lord, who guides me day and night, My heart instructs me, even in the quiet light. The Lord’s before me, with Him I’ll never fall, In Him unshaken, standing firm and tall. Verse 4: My heart is glad, my joy in you I find, My body rests in safety, peace of mind. You will not leave me among the dead, Your holy one won’t rot, as you have said.
