[Verse] I am a Man who has seen affliction, He has aged my flesh and broken my bones. I have been made desolate, They sing taunting songs all day long. Oh Lord, Remember my Affliction! [Chorus] Although strength and hope have perished in me, I will trust in the Lord, King of Kings! His mercy is new every morning, The Lord is my portion, so I will hope in thee! [Verse] The Lord is good to those who wait, It is good to bear the yoke in your youth, For the Lord will not cast us off forever! Though he causes grief, He will show compassion now, and forevermore! [Bridge] Let us examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord! Let us lift our hearts, our hands, to the God of Heaven! For we have transgressed, and rebelled.
